We request that the unit leader ensure that each Scout is capable of understanding the material in the merit badge he has chosen. Each Merit Badge Counselor has the right to deny signing a requirement if he/she feels that the Scout is not paying attention in class.

Merit badges being offered are subject to change based on counselor availability.

Please note: in some cases, the scout will not complete all of the requirements needed for the merit badge.

The intent of this Merit Badge College is to complete as many requirements as possible within the time limit allocated.

Due to limited seating space, we will have to split the lunch hour into 2 groups. Group A will have lunch from 12:15 12:45 and Group B will have lunch from 12:45  - 1:15. You will be told your lunch group when you receive your confirmation number. We have a space problem with lunch. Please eat your lunch within the time frame that you are assigned and move out of the lunchroom so others can eat.

Most classes will be held on the Athens State University campus. But there will be some classes held at the Athens First Baptist Church. Please refer to the map as to where the classes will be held.

Scouts should make 4 merit badge choices using the Merit Badge Codes. We will do our best to sign up the scout for his first choice, then second choice, then third, then fourth.

All merit badge requirement sheets will be available for you to take home. Please be prepared to stay until 4:30 p.m. in order for the event staff to get all of your troops material together in one package.

All Adult classes will be held at the First Baptist Church. We will do our best to provide a Leaders Lounge at First Baptist.

We feel that it is very important to recognize the sacrifice of the adults that attend this event. Therefore, all adults that register will be provided with a free lunch.
