2001
This was the first year that the event was opened to scouts outside of the Limestone District.
107 scouts attended. The event was held at the Athens Bible School.
2002
The event was beginning to pick up steam. We needed a bigger place to hold the event. 270 scouts
packed the Athens High School.
2003
Due to issues beyond our control, we were unable to hold this year's event at the Athens High
School. We chose Tanner High School, a Limestone County school that was centrally located. 325 scouts from Alabama, Georgia
and Tennessee attended.
2004
We held the event at Athens State University for the first time. We had 358 scouts and 98 adults registered
from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee.
2005 and Beyond
This event has exceeded our wildest dreams. It is our goal to continually strive to provide
the best merit badge atmosphere for all scouts that attend.

Shelley Merrill
I would like to thank Keith Hudy and Shelley Merrill for all the work they have done to make this
event a success. They have made a great effect on the scouts in our local area and many scouts across the mid-south.
